On out visit to LA we decided to stay away from Downtown and travel in to see the attractions. Booked this hotel which is located right on a marina in Del Rey. Modern hotel with a great pool area and small jacuzzi which was open even though it was January. Rooms were spacious with a small balcony that faced the city, had to pay extra for a marina view. The hotel has a restaurant (Salt) which offered quality food choices but was very expensive when compared to others in the area. Did not offer self park at the hotel so the valet service cost $45 per day, a cost in addition to your room rates that were not cheap. There was public parking nearby but there was no security so I did not want to chance parking there with our hire car. Marina complex was great to walk around and offered other hotels, bars and restaurants to visit. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and kind, helped us order a pizza takeaway to the hotel one night. There are bus routes nearby that take you to Santa Monica where you can pick up Orange bus routes into Downtown LA and the attractions. We tended to get Uber taxis into Downtown at a cost of about $50. Hotel is near to LAX so handy if you need somewhere with quality facilities to stay before flying.

This is a gorgeous property in a small piece of LA paradise - Marina del Rey! It looks exactly like the pictures you see online. Definitely splurge the little bit more to get an ocean/marina view room - you won’t be disappointed that you did. Marina watching is beautiful and entertaining. And it was so quiet! Sometimes the sea lions pipe up but it’s part of the fun. The pool and jacuzzi area is lovely, pristine and so relaxing. The food at Salt Restaurant is a bit pricey but we took advantage of the breakfast which was more affordable and so tasty. The staff are pleasant and accommodating. The room was lovely, clean and the beds and sheets were comfortable. We chose this hotel knowing it was a bit further from the action as we really wanted to unwind and go to the attractions when we wanted to and that is exactly what we got. It’s a 10 minute drive to Venice Beach, 20 min to Santa Monica. We discovered the LA e-scooter system and it made travelling around this area so pleasant and fun. There are lots of grocery stores, shops and restaurants nearby.

Our work schedules provided an opportunity to drive down to the Los Angeles area a day early so we initially booked this room because of its location and the price. I have to say that the hotel far exceeded our expectations for the price and amenities. The rooms were spacious and well laid out. They were clean and the space was modern. The pool area was perfect for hanging out, with a large offering of chairs and lounge areas. All of our interactions with hotel staff were courteous and professional. This place is a hidden gem and we are looking forward to spending a few days here without the kids for our next visit.

The hotel is in a fabulous location on the harbour. It is well decorated and has a trendy vibe to it. Our room was sufficient for what we required, although the bathroom was small. Unfortunately we were met with an unpleasant receptionist that put a damper on our first day. The rest of the staff were friendly and welcoming especially Nancy. The facilities were great, lovely swimming pool and bar area.

Lisa

I enjoyed the surroundings and hotel pool. The location was lovely, the rooms were big, and the balcony was a wonderful extra. Although my balcony faced the restaurant and there was music playing, I loved that I was able to sleep without being disturbed. Excellent location, next to a retail centre and numerous restaurants.
